Stop guessing why
a video worked.

4 chapters
Onboarding that works like career orientation, not a settings screen.
Your baseline
Every video is judged against your own last twelve — never a global average.
One move
A single thing to film today, sized to the time you actually have.
Two platforms
Instagram Reels and TikTok. Connect once, read-only.
How it works

Four steps, and only one of them is homework.

The whole orientation runs before you're asked for a card. By the end of it the app knows more about your work than most people who follow you.

It finds your niche

Eighteen short questions across four chapters. What people already come to you for. What you could talk about for thirty minutes. Answer honestly and your niche falls out of it.

It names who you are

A rapid round of one-tap choices derives your creator archetype — the shape of the work you're actually built for, handed to you without you having to describe it.

It reads every video

Connect Instagram or TikTok once. When you post, Five Trends compares it to your own baseline and tells you what moved the number, in numbers.

It holds you to the path

Your capacity, your target, one projection. Then a daily move and a streak, so the plan survives the week you don't feel like it.

The read

Your last video, measured against the only account that matters.

Nobody's baseline is the internet's. Five Trends takes the median of your recent videos and puts the new one next to it.

  • A verdict in one sentence. Not a paragraph of hedging. One line you can act on.
  • Two to four drivers. Each has to cite a real number from your own data.
  • One lesson, carried forward. What to keep, and what to stop doing on the next one.

Your archetype

Eight one-tap questions. Then it tells you what you are.

The rapid round at the end of chapter one doesn't ask you to describe yourself — most people can't. It infers the shape of your work from choices, then hands it back as a name.

The Analyst
Proof first. The receipts are the hook.
The Confidant
One person, told the truth.
The Builder
Show the thing being made.
The Performer
Energy is the format.
What you get

Opinionated where it counts.

Baseline, not benchmarks

A 40k-view video is a triumph for one account and a warning for another. Five Trends only ever compares you to you — the median of your recent posts, with the sample size shown.

Reasons, with numbers in them

Every read names two to four drivers, and each one has to cite an actual figure from your data. No horoscopes about the algorithm.

A projection you agreed to

Built from the days per week you said you could really film — not the days you wish you could. The curve is honest about how flat month one looks.

A streak that means something

It counts published videos against your weekly target, checked automatically. Nothing to tick off by hand.

Read-only by design

Five Trends never posts, comments, follows, or messages. It asks for the minimum scopes each platform allows and nothing more.

Native, quiet, fast

Built in SwiftUI for iPhone. Sign in with Apple, no password to make up, and no web view pretending to be an app.

Pricing

Free to find out. Paid to keep going.

Onboarding, your archetype and your projection all happen before anything is charged.

Questions

The ones worth asking.

Is this another analytics dashboard?

No. Dashboards hand you every number and leave the interpretation to you. Five Trends does the opposite: it computes the comparison, states a verdict in one sentence, names what drove it, and gives you one thing to do next. If you never open a chart, nothing is lost.

Which accounts can I connect?

Instagram Business or Creator accounts, and TikTok. Personal Instagram accounts can't return insights through Instagram's API — that's a platform restriction, not ours. Switching to a Creator account is free and takes about a minute in the Instagram app.

Does it need my password, and can it post for me?

Neither. You connect through Instagram's and TikTok's own login screens, which hand back a token — we never see a password. That token is read-only: the app can fetch your videos and their public counts, and that is the whole extent of it. Revoke it from the platform's settings or from inside the app at any time.

What does the AI actually look at?

The numbers on the post — views, likes, comments, shares, saves — the medians we computed from your recent videos, your caption, and the niche and audience you described during onboarding. To explain why something worked it may also look at the published video itself: the opening seconds, the pacing, the on-screen text. That content is processed for that one analysis and never stored. We keep the read, not the footage.

Are the projections a promise?

No, and the app says so where it draws them. A projection is arithmetic applied to a pace you chose. It shows what consistency tends to compound into — it cannot account for a format that stops working, a platform that changes its ranking, or a month you don't film. Treat it as a direction, not a forecast.

What does it cost?

Downloading is free, and the whole orientation — niche, archetype, first read — happens before you're asked for anything. Five Trends Pro is $4.99 a week or $39.99 a year after a 3-day free trial. Billing runs through your Apple ID, and you cancel there in two taps.

Can I delete everything?

Yes, from inside the app, and there's a page here that walks through it. Deleting your account removes your profile, your onboarding answers, your connected accounts and their tokens, your stored post metrics, and every analysis — permanently.
